"The court are of opinion, that the facts stated, and the acknowledgments, cannot change the nature of the contracts made between the plaintiff and the testator in Martinique, or prevent the construing the same according to the laws of France, so far as the same may be applicable to the contracts. If the contracts, by which the debt becomes due, were made in France, they must be governed by the laws of France. "
