Short Summary: Disputing the mright of execution in debt as to crops and rents devised to the wife after her husband dies in order to pay his debts. Holding that in accordance with the act of 1841, a wife is protected from exectiion of debts for property conveyed to her of real property and slaves. . Note that this case never mentions if slaves are particularly involved in this instance but does mention the existence of slaves a great deal when discussing the Act of 1841 and a wife's protection of slaves and other real property that was heavily applied to this case.
